Safeguard your feline friend from harmful diseases with a vaccination plan.
Appropriate and timely vaccination in kittens is an important and simple way to improve their quality of life and prolong their lifespan. Discussion with our veterinarians will include an evaluation of your kitten’s intended lifestyle and associated risk of disease exposure, which will determine the vaccinations recommended for them.
Kittens need to receive their first core vaccines (FVRCP) at 9 and 13 weeks of age. If another veterinarian or rescue organization has started on a different schedule, our veterinarians can discuss how to adjust your kitten’s vaccination schedule accordingly to ensure they are protected.
After the initial series of two vaccinations for your kitten, a booster 1 year later is recommended. Adult cats then receive boosters every 3 years (1 year of age, 4 years of age, etc.)
Depending on your kitten’s lifestyle, our veterinarians may recommend FeLV and rabies vaccinations, in addition to the core FVRCP vaccine. Please see our discussion of vaccination types for cats for further information on these vaccines and diseases.
