Dawn

Dawn is on our CSR Team, she joined us in the summer of 2020. She has a background in Zoo Keeping Technology, having studied in Colorado Springs, Colorado and completed internships at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and at an Emergency Clinic. She has also managed an independent pet store specializing in tropical fish and exotic reptiles here in Calgary.

She has had a lifelong love of nature and the outdoors, and in more recent years developed a passion for seeking out and photographing birds. She enjoys live music, and she loves travelling, whether she is using that time to explore Alberta's backroads, or packing a bag and heading off to a more distant destination.

She shared her life with Bart, a Mini Dachshund, for nearly 19 years. She now shares her life with a teenage daughter, a Mini Pin named Tia, a pair of 14-year-old Vietnamese Mossy Tree Frogs, and an 11-year-old Brazilian Black Tarantula named Dazey.
